LawnMutt is an easy to apply, liquid soil amendment, for dog owners. Dog urine contains high levels of urea nitrogen. High concentrations of urea can damage a lawn's ability to absorb moisture. Healthy soil converts urea nitrogen into more lawn-friendly nitrate nitrogen that's easier for the lawn to absorb. LawnMutt repairs and enhances the soil's health, enabling it to process higher levels of urea. By metabolizing the excess urea you can prevent dog urine spots in your lawn.

Are you interested in repairing and preventing dog urine spots on your lawn? Preventing urine damage is a process that varies from lawn to lawn. Our LawnMutt Soil Amendment in combination with one-on-one support has helped thousands of customers prevent urine damage to their lawn. We would like to help you with your lawn.

LawnMutt is a liquid concentrate that is best applied with an applicator that goes on your water hose. Our LawnMutt 2 Application Pack is available with or without a reusable Hose end applicator.

This Large lawn 2 pack is formulated for lawns 1600-3200 sq ft. That would be the size of a large home with a lot size of 3/4 to 1 acre.

Not sure the sq ft of your lawn? For reference, look at the pictures above for size comparison. The pictures above are of lawn areas approximately 1600-3200 sq. ft.  If you are still unsure email me a picture and I should be able to recommend a bottle size. My email address is Jeff@soundsoil.com.

If your lawn is larger than 3200 sq. ft. we recommend dividing the lawn up into 3200 sq. ft. sections and treating each section separately. The applicator bottle when full will cover up to 3200 sq ft and if applied to a larger area will over dilute the product and decrease its effectiveness.

The application is as easy as watering. Simply pour the contents of one 16 oz. bottle into the applicator bottle and add 16 ounces of additional water. Set the green dial on the applicator to 2 oz. setting. Apply to the lawn area evenly until the applicator is empty. Water for 5-10 minutes after to saturate down to the root zone. It is that easy. no additional measuring or worrying.

Repeat the process with the second bottle 3-6 weeks later to continue the repair process.

After the second application, you should start to see a decrease in the number and severity of new urine spots as well as the shrinking of existing dead spots. 2 applications are usually enough to start the repair processes on all but the most severely damaged lawns. Severely damaged lawns can take a bit longer and a few additional applications.

Due to the volume of urine applied to most lawns, regular applications every 6-8 weeks are recommended and prevention will get better with each application.

LawnMutt is safe for people and pets when used as directed and no special safety requirements are needed.

Dead spots can be reseeded 7-14 days after application.

To help keep your applications on a regular schedule we now offer a Subscription Service.

Depending on the severity of the urine damage 1-2 applications may not be enough to completely stop the new urine spots. To ensure all our new customers are satisfied with their results, check out our exclusive SoundStart Program.

It's magic.

I give my lawn three applications each summer, April (if the snow's gone!), late June, and late August. The application is simple, fast, and the results are remarkable. Time to order up next year's supply!

Tremendous service

I just started using the product recently, and growing conditions have changed abruptly from cool and wet to very hot and dry. I have high hopes though! In the meantime, responsiveness and service from Jeff has been great!

Miraculous - part 2

Here are the photos requested to go with the previous review titled as above. Our backyard was a disaster. We used Lawn Mutt every 2 months over the fall/winter (Oct, Dec, Feb) as Jeff advised. At first we didn't see results, but as weather improved the grass came back with no burn spots. Just like Jeff said it would. And this is a relatively small backyard where our 110 lbs. Lab does all his business (except for walks). I wish I hadn't deleted the before photos I took for Jeff so he could advise us on a plan. Perhaps he still has them somewhere. Anyway, Lawn Mutt worked for us. Not sure what to do from here though - should we continue applications?

Thank you for the amazing review! You yard looks amazing! At this point you can start to go longer between application. I would start with an applications every 8 weeks and see how the lawn hold up. If no spots try 12 weeks if you start to see some spots before the 8 weeks apply sooner.

The soil and lawn will progressivley get better at processing the urine over time. We have a number of long term customers that only apply a few times a year and do great.

I would also be aware of the relationship between the amount of fertilier applied and the severity of the spots. Applying too much fertilizer can make the spots worse. You will want apply some fertilizer but I think you will find that you need less and still have a green lawn.
